Stereotomy
Stereotomy is South Florida’s original and best 80’s new wave & retro rock tribute show. Other retro bands have tried to follow in their footsteps, but no act has been able to create performances with such genuine 80s authenticity, raw energy and fun!
Since 2010, Stereotomy has become much less a band than a South Florida institution. The band had a vision to skillfully recreate the sounds from the 1980’s; a live show that is authentic in appearance while delivering a live performance true to the original recording. From corporate/private events to successful long term residencies in bars and clubs, Stereotomy always has the audience not only raging but coming back for more!
Stereotomy dresses the part in all the 80’s garb you’d expect and performs the original hits live, utilizing instruments from the era, with no backing tracks, sequencers or other tricks of the trade – what you see and hear is what you get – in fact, when Stereotomy performs you’d swear what you hear is the original artist performing the original song live! In other words, you’re getting the real deal with no lip syncing or play-along!
Stereotomy delivers a repertoire that is danceable, energy driven and well diverse, staying within the 1979-1989 time frame when “new wave” and “retro rock” was at its peak with bands like: Duran Duran, Human League, Flock of seagulls, The Fixx, The Romantics, New Order and with 80s rock/retro acts such as The Cars, Men At Work, J Geils band, Rick Springfield, The Clash, Greg Kihn, The Vapors, INXS, Men Without Hats, John Cougar, Hall & Oates, Lover Boy and Bryan Adams.
So let Stereotomy take you back to when flares and corduroy were out and thin ties, loud colors, big hair and leather & lace were in. When the “yuppie” was born, “safe sex” replaced “free love”, when we all cried as an extraterrestrial “phoned home”. When Acid Wash jeans, “Live Aid”, the Rubik’s cube and MTV were all born! The time? The decade? The Eighties!!!
Relive the 80′s in style with Stereotomy!
