Mouth Tape
Mouth Tape was founded by Matthew Silva and Gabriel Salazar in November of 2012 as an acoustic duo.
Playing together in a full band under the name The Chest Rockwell Band, with bassist Matt Mikulicz, Matthew & Gabriel realized Mouth Tape’s potential for growth and Chest Rockwell’s potential for stagnation due to naming conflicts with other bands.
By this time, The Chest Rockwell Band had really made a name for themselves as an up-and-coming band in South Florida. They were performing all over Broward County and achieving recognition as a top performer and class act.
In July 2013, a change in The Chest Rockwell Band brought Steven Marinaro into the group as the drummer, solidifying the band’s lineup. With the new lineup in place, the decision was made to move Mouth Tape from an acoustic duo to a fully plugged-in, electrified quartet.
It is believed by the band that Mouth Tape has greater chances of success with no limitations on our future.
