South Florida Talent Show
Florida Rock Stars is pleased to announce the South Florida Talent Show to be held Saturday night, September 28, 2013 at the Harris Field Pavilion in Homestead, Florida from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm!
FREE ADMISSION – VIP tables available for purchase. No Coolers – Rain or Shine! (The Pavilion is covered).
The Show is designed to help South Florida discover home grown talent and features a super exciting grand prize for the contest winner! Aspiring musicians,singers and artists are encouraged to apply on line to have a shot at mini-fame and a whole lotta fun!
The event will be hosted by South Florida’s classic rock favorite Main Highway in conjunction with Jealous Guys Productions sound systems. Shakey’s Pizza, Big Pig BBQ and others will serve up delicious food while the cash bar, loaded with top shelf liquor, beer and wine will make for a good time!
Talent Show Grand Prize:
1. Two hours recording studio time / one hour recording one hour mix at Studio in Miami, Florida (to be named) to produce Media Kit audio clip.
2. One photo shoot session at Studio X (to be named) to produce Media Kit photographs.
3. Spotlight 15 minute performance at the upcoming Palmetto Bay Food and Rock Festival November 2, 2013.
4. 30 days marketing and promotion prior to the Palmetto Bay show performance – Florida Rock Stars social media & website.
5. Dedicated music artist page on Florida Rock Stars website.
6. Florida Rock Stars Media Kit – video clip + photo shoot pix + audio clip.
7. OR $500 cash prize – your choice!
Rules of Engagement:
Florida Rock Stars is accepting applications for the South Florida Talent Show. Singers, solo artists, guitar players, drummers, etc. are all welcome to get some great exposure and opportunity for themselves by competing for the Talent Show title.
A special panel of talent judges selected by Florida Rocks Stars will review all applications with the ultimate responsibility of producing the TOP EIGHT FINALISTS for the show. The panel of five talent judges will be selected from live entertainment bands that work the South Florida circuit. The eight finalists will be assigned time slots on a random draw basis. The finalists will be announced September 21, 2013.
Each Contestant will be given 20 minutes to make the most of their opportunity. Each contestant must choose to either go solo or work with the host band, Main Highway. Singers, guitar, bass and keyboard players and drummers that wish to work with the host band must select their material from a list of 84 songs offered by Main Highway. The song list will be provided to all finalists after they are selected.
TO ENTER THE SOUTH FLORIDA TALENT SHOW:
Entry Deadline (September 20, 2013)
Step 1: “LIKE” Florida Rock Stars on FaceBook (required) and follow FlaRockStars @Twitter (optional).
Step 2: Post a video on our page of you performing your talent (singing, guitar etc.). Make sure you get all your friends, family and fans to LIKE your video that you posted on our page. The videos with the most likes by the Entry Deadline will be viewed by the judges to narrow down the list of candidates. If you do not have a video – please submit photos, audio clips or any other promotion material you have to help the judges make you a finalist.
Step 3: Complete the South Florida Talent Show Application below.
Step 4: Receive confirmation of your application received via email from Florida Rock Stars. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours please send an email inquiry to [email protected].
Step 5: Receive email notice on September 21, 2013 whether you made the list of finalists for the show or not. Florida Rock Stars will contact all finalists directly to arrange details.
