Florida Rock Stars is pleased to introduce a special incentive competition to become the first South Dade Country Queen or King. The festival ticket selling competition is designed to help raise money and awareness for charitable causes. For this year’s event, Florida Rock Stars is helping raise money for education for high school seniors and first year college students from Miami-Dade or Monroe Counties. Because Education Rocks!
Eligibility:
- Contestants must be a high school senior or first year college student.
- Contestants must be a Miami-Dade or Monroe county resident and be enrolled full time in a local area high school or any college.
Rules & Regulations:
- Contestants must email request to participate to [email protected], stating name, address, phone number and school.
- Contestants must sign a waiver of liability agreement along with their contest application.
- Each contestant is required to sell $400.00 in tickets in order to qualify for consideration. Prizes will be awarded based on the amount of sales over $400.00.
- All unsold tickets and proceeds must be returned no later than September 2, 2014. Contestants are responsible for all tickets and the proceeds that are assigned to them. Tickets will be issued upon receipt of a completed and approved application.
- Contestants must conduct themselves in a proper professional manner and portray high moral standards at all times including behaviors displayed on social media sites.
- Contestants must abide by all wardrobe guidelines provided to them for the awards ceremony.
Prizes & Awards:
- First place contestant will be named South Dade Country Queen or King and will be provided with a Cashier’s Check for a minimum of $1,000.00 in scholarship funds depending on the amount of money raised.
- Second place contestant will be provided with a Cashier Check for $500.00 in scholarship funds.
- Third and fourth place contestants will each be provided with a Cashier Check for $250.00 in scholarship funds.
- All other contestants will receive certificates of acknowledgement for their efforts.
- Monies are to be used to provide for incidental college expenses.
